Michael Ludd was a worker in a textiles mill during the turn of the industrial revolution in England . He saw that the changes being made to his industry would put many people out of a job , eg. people being replaced by machines . He organised protests against the changes involving sabotage and destructive force used against the new technology . Analysis : Was the Luddite movement correct in their stance against the change ? History shows that civilisations live or die according to thier adherence to morals , ethics , traditions , Laws . In that Era of Michael Ludd and Charles Dickens ; people worked for a living . Putting people out of a job would cause financial hardship if they did not earn . In that Era , England being a Hebrewaic culture , many placed importance in learning and the traditions .
