Why we are the Luddite Catholic Church :

Michael Ludd was a worker in a textiles mill during the turn of the industrial revolution in England . He saw that the changes being made to his industry would put many people out of a job , eg. people being replaced by machines . He organised protests against the changes involving sabotage and destructive force used against the new technology .

Analysis : Was the Luddite movement correct in their stance against the change ?

History shows that civilisations live or die according to thier adherence to morals , ethics , traditions , Laws . In that Era of Michael Ludd and Charles Dickens ; people worked for a living . Putting people out of a job would cause financial hardship if they did not earn .

In that Era , England being a Hebrewaic culture , many placed importance in learning and the traditions .

However as is told in the Bible many times the Jews ignored the prophets who " cried out in the wilderness " .

The progression of the industrial revolution did see many people made jobless and moneyless , poor in their own country . They stole to survive and the justice system tried to maintain order by sending these " criminals " to new territories and over seas eg. Australia . The voyage from England to Australia was difficult at best and there were many lost .

The other side of the equation is that we now live in an Era of plenty and in some industries , over supply .

The third side of the equation is that before the Industrial Revolution there was no shortage . The motivation to move to machine manufacture being one of finance .

Explaination further : We live with the legacy of the Industrial Revolution in that Automatic Machines are now being used in Education , Entertainment and many areas of our Lives . Is this better than what we had before ? It is certainly different . Are we trading away quality for quantity ? Surety for shiny and new ? Safety for exegency ? The illusion of agency for chatter on the social media ? Equality used as an example rather than a norm ?
